National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health
Every year 5 to 10 million household poisonings are reported. Many are fatal and most of the victims are children. These poisonings are the result of accidental ingestion of common household substances found in just about every home.
Household chemicals are like a loaded gun. I'm blessed that almost 4 years ago, a good friend loved and cared enough about my family to share the information she had found. Since then, I've been able to protect my children from those harmful chemicals.
"Of chemicals found in the home, 150 have been linked to allergies, birth defects, cancer, and psychological abnormalities." Sell a product in a different category than your niche. One that is needed by the general public. Everybody is, after all, human. This will increase your sales.

2) Be your own boss. Be free of a strict work schedule. Have more free time to do what you want in your life. Know the pleasure of being financially independent.

3) Working online is pretty easy. It does take a lot of patience and hard work. But it is not difficult. It is different than a “9-5 hour” job. You are not working for money, but rather investing your time. You are building a foundation in which will build you income in your sleep. This is called passive income. Again, it’s not going to be easy unless you work hard and consistently. But if you do, an online business is definitely a great way to invest your time.

4) You can work part time. There is no need to rush things in an online business. All your efforts add up. Remember, it isn’t a job, it is an investment. Imagine a snowball rolling down a mountain of snow as it keeps getting bigger and bigger. You have to push the snowball in the beginning for it to start rolling. You keep pushing the snowball until it gets big enough to roll down on its own. Eventually you don’t need to do much for the snowball to get bigger and bigger. It can roll by itself. This is the same with an online business. If you follow the right track, the money will flow by itself, and you don’t need to put as much effort as you initially did. When the “ball” starts rolling, you can quit your day job.

5) If you work about 2 hours a day to build up a business, you will have a great deal of time to spend with your family, hobbies, and do what you love. More free time is a great benefit of having a home business.

6) Working online is very affordable. There are so many great ways to make money online you don’t have to be rich to start. For example, you can start an affiliate program for free. Or you can start a blog and place ads related to your site for income. The cheap starting costs of a home business make for an amazing opportunity.

7) Become very wealthy! It is possible to make a six figure income working online. That is a lot of money. What better gift of a home business than the mental peace of financial stability? Not only can you become financially stable, you can become rich people!

8) A substantial amount of consumers. When you work online, your target audience could be from places all around the world. You are not bounded by distance. You have consumers world wide! You don’t have to worry about lack of consumers!

9) No previous experience necessary. You don’t need any previous knowledge before you start an online business. Everything you need to know is online and you can learn as you practice. I personally believe it’s not at all difficult to learn. As long as you know the basic of using a computer, you are set. And who doesn’t nowadays?

10) Retire early! If you follow a home business plan and work really hard, you can retire early. Becoming rich online is totally possible. All you have to do is follow a plan, and work at it a little bit everyday. Make sure to give yourself some time to see results. Don’t be discouraged by negative results, especially when you start. Every amount of effort you put in an online business, or investment for that matter, is worth it. The best place you can put your money is into an investment, because an investment builds up to something more than just money. It is more than a job. It is financial freedom.

***now if you are looking for these opportunities please join us at www.workathomeunited.com/stephwhaley

Wipe out the negativity...

So I've been dealing with a lot of negative people in my life and figuring out the best way to "take out the trash" as I heard on a radio station not to long ago. I think that is so true. Life is too short so why do we spend the majority of it wasting it on people who we know are using us or will turn on us in an instant b/c they can only have one friend at a time. I preach to my kids to help others, don't worry about what anyone else says...stick with the underdog, they need you more and will be more appreciative.

Positive affirmations are so very important! While DEET may keep mosquitoes away, its safety is questionable, especially for young children and older individuals.

Many of you have written and called asking about Bug spray and Mosquito solutions. One of the most important things to remember when using the Melaleuca products is that they are NOT pesticides and therefore will not stop the varmints from landing on you. They will deter them and greatly reduce the incidence of bites and the reaction that accompanies them. They also do not make you feel like you need to take a shower after you use them. They are enhanced by frequent use and your skin will be healthier because of it. It is also important to note that different body types respond differently to the different formulas. I have had people say that just taking the vitamin has stopped mosquito bites. Do not be afraid to experiment and find your own solution.... then pass it on.

Jody’s Favorite

1-8 oz. Body Satin Lotion 2-4 oz. Renew Bath Oil 12-15 drops T36-C5 Melaleuca oil 1-8 0z Solumel

Blend well and divide up in to small spray bottles (I get them at the dollar store!) Encourage others to apply this to all exposed skin surfaces, being careful not get any in the eyes. This is as an excellent mosquito preventative that’s equally good in preventing deer ticks and flies as well.

If you do get a bite…have your MelaGel handy!

An old time favorite!

2 oz Renew Spa and Bath oil

2 oz SoluMel

1 oz Tough and Tender

20+ drops of T36 C5

With 6-12 oz of water.

Applied frequently with spray bottle

If you are unfortunate enough to get into poison ivy or oak.... be sure and wash the area and your clothes with Melaleuca Naturals liquid soap.... then this is the ONLY time it is appropriate to use Solumel without diluting it.... but it works wonders if sprayed straight on the effected area. It stops the itch and dries it up really fast.

Below you will discover other formulas and solutions that have been shared.

==============================

PAUL’S ULTIMATE ---Mosquito, Black Flies and No See’em Spray.

Sol-U-Mel - 4 ounces

Renew Spa & Bath Oil - 4 ounces

Body Satin - 5 ounces

10 drops of T-36C5 oil

Spray on exposed body skin and mist over entire body.

Keep in mind, shampooing with Melaleuca’s Natural or Herbal Shampoo and using Sun-Shades sun block also affords insect repellent protection.

Mosquito Repellent for Babies & Children

Sol-U-Mel - 3 ounces

5 Drops of T36-C5 Melaleuca oil

Water S to 16 ounces

you can spray this on their skin, clothes and holders.

Bug and Fly Control Spray

Sol-U-Mel - 2 ounces

T36C5 - 5 drops

Tough Tender - 1 teaspoonful

Water S to 16 ounces

Spray around doors, on screens, on trees and garbage cans etc.

Fly Control for Animals

Tough Tender - 1 teaspoonful

Spa & Bath Oil - 1 teaspoonful

T36C5 - 10 drops (Horses and larger animals 20 drops.)

Water S to 16 ounces

Spray animal daily carefully avoiding face and eyes.

Spray for Aphids, Spider Mites and Fungus on Roses and Other Plants

Nature’s Cleanse - 2 teaspoonfuls

Water S to 16 ounces

Spray on plants daily as needed. But when you’re really pushing it, water just doesn’t give you what you need- critical electrolytes. Minerals like calcium, sodium, magnesium and potassium are known electrolytes. These minerals are responsible for regulating the electrical charge and flow across cell membranes.

SUSTAIN SPORTcontains a proprietary electrolyte complex of calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium. These four electrolytes:

• rehydrate your cells

• maximize muscle performance

• help convert carbohydrates into energy

• minimize muscle tissue breakdown

Grocery store name brand products like Gatorade and Powerade only contain two electrolytes. They also contain large amounts of simple sugars such as dextrose and corn syrup. These syrupy, sweet mixtures lead to blood sugar spikes and unsustained energy. Become aware of the habit: Awareness is crucial for breaking bad habits, if you're not aware, then nothing can change. Noticing that you do something regularly that you may want to change is the beginning of the process for changing habits. Your habit may also be affecting others in a negative way which may give you additional impetus for changing it (smoking is a good example).
2. Changing is a matter of making a decision: Sometimes you will be willing to decide to change a habit and sometimes you won't. If you have a health problem, it's a good idea to look at any resistance you may have to changing your habits. Eating or drinking the wrong things can have serious consequences which may drive you to think about changing. Once you've made the decision to change, your direction becomes clear.
3. Make a commitment to change: Here's the hard part of changing habits - making a commitment. That means, you will do whatever it takes to let go of your old behavior and to introduce new behaviors that serve you better. You've looked at your old habit and you now see that it's time to do something different.
4. Continue to take daily action: Habits are with you every minute of every day, even when you aren't thinking about them or doing them. This is because when you're not thinking, when the time comes, you will act out your old habit unless you have vowed to take consistent daily action to change. The best way to do this is one hour or one day at a time rather than thinking about all the days you will have to be different. Often, not smoking just this one cigarette is possible and reasonable, while not smoking for the rest of your life may send you straight to your pack of cigarettes! You may find that simply stopping the old habit is easier than letting go gradually or vice versa.Every time you take another step toward breaking the habit, give yourself a small reward. As you take your daily actions to your new habit, remember that consistency is critical. Taking an occasional action will not work.
5. Try a healthier substitute for the old habit. Sometimes it's easier to substitute something else for the old habit instead of trying to get rid of it entirely. Of ten, you may find you're attached to the process involved in the habit. For example, I love having a warm drink in the morning so I substituted tea (a type I really like) for coffee. That way, I still got my warm satisfying drink. Here are some more examples: Herbal tea instead of coffee, a mouth spray or chewing gum instead of smoking, raw fruit instead of candy, lemonade made with fresh lemons and lo-cal sweetener rather than soda.
6. Don't give up: As you go through these steps, you may find yourself wondering whether all this effort is worth it. You may think that changing habits is too hard or that you don't have the strength to change. In this case, you're just coming up against resistance, which is often called the "comfort zone".

About me

I'm a SAHM of 6 kids. I worked in Corporate America as a Loan Officer for years before finding a way to come home full time with my kids. We have 5 boys and my baby is a girl. I'm new to blogging and looking forward to talking with everyone. We are in the process of building a new home and have just joined a family gym to make sure we are all getting our exercise:) My husband and I love doing things with the kids and taking them on Caribbean vacations. We went "green" almost 3 years ago after our daughter was suffering from severe eczema for years and her prescription was causing cancer in small children. At the same time, my son who was 10 at the time was going in for ear surgery due to 40% of hearing loss, that we've linked to our household cleaners and children's shampoo. I love helping other families go green as well.

Quote of the day: "Chase your dreams"
