but before you get out the bleach, lysol and other cleaners read this...
"After analyzing 2,983 chemicals used in personal care products, 884 were found to be toxic." National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health
Every year 5 to 10 million household poisonings are reported. Many are fatal and most of the victims are children. These poisonings are the result of accidental ingestion of common household substances found in just about every home.
Household chemicals are like a loaded gun. I'm blessed that almost 4 years ago, a good friend loved and cared enough about my family to share the information she had found. Since then, I've been able to protect my children from those harmful chemicals.
"Of chemicals found in the home, 150 have been linked to allergies, birth defects, cancer, and psychological abnormalities." Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Why is it that so many people like myself think our government actually regulates the products we find on store shelves. Five states as of to date have banned products like Tide and Cascade. Other countries have banned Johnson and Johnson yet our government allows a new mom to go buy these products and put these harmful chemicals on our newborn baby.
Personal care products are made to put on your skin, in your hair, or in your mouth. But many ingredients used in personal care products are also toxic and can be either ingested during use like some ingredients in mouthwash and toothpaste or can be easily absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream.
So before starting that spring cleaning...research what you are using and I'm more than happy to help you get any information and decide what to use!
